Mirror’s Me Reflection

Reflections make us whole

When the hole inside takes control.

We get to take a deep breath

And look, and gaze and know:

The missing pieces of the puzzle

Are clearly shown

When our eyes meet with our own:

When our emotions are displayed

To the open; to ourselves: to mourn.

Because one’s darkest fear

And the greatest of all:

Is to look at the reflection

Through the wall

And not recognize the eyes

That through us pierce

The truth of who we are;

Of who the person outside the mirror

Truly is;

And not recognize the eyes that help us see the world

But never allow us to see what lies within:

Us, The Soul.
