Winds Stir Us But We Choose to Stay on Board

Five times and three
And we were right where we were meant to be:
Thine eyes held the world together
When my pieces were shattered.
Thy soul made mine shine brighter
When it was on the verge of darkness.
But came the wind – it blew us apart:
Two separate ways
We had to take.
There you were standing with your armor
Walking, slowly.
I stood, here.
And here I was:
Dim I felt
But we kept on moving.
The wind first stirred us
But we made it easier – together.
It was the last thing we did
The two of us:
Walked away;
We just walked away like nothing matters:
Two separate ways
That were never to meet
Ever after.
